YOU are challenged to enter the 2008 Film Spin Challenge with a chance to with the $100 Cash Prize!
Create a film and enter it in our festival Saturday April 19th 2008 at 7:00. 27 Skinner Street in East Hampton, CT.

Below are films created at Epoch Arts by students in the filim classes for the Film Spin 2008 festival.

The Festival
The festival will showcase a series of short films by Epoch Arts students and anybody who took the challenge.
Tickets will be available at the door. $5 general public, FREE for participants.
Refreshments will be available.
The Challenge
To create a short film by putting your own spin on given elements.
Each participant will create a film which is something completely unique and original by interpreting, modifying, tweaking, twisting, squishing, squashing, splitting, spinning etc. certain given elements common to every participant.

An object: Cereal
A Word: "ring"

The 2008 Rules:
Every entry must:
- Incorporate each of the outlined four elements:
- The object: Cereal
Entries must have physical and tangible cereal visually displayed within the duration of the film. - The word: "ring"
Entries must use "ring" in some capacity, including but not limited to the concept of "ring", the spoken word "ring" "ring!" "ring..." or "ring?", and/or the consecutive written letters R I N G
- The Video Clip: filmspin2008_videoClip.avi
Entries must use part or the whole of this video clip at some point(s) within the duration of the film. - The Sound: filmspin2008_soundClip.wav
Entries must use the entirety of this sound clip at some point(s) within the duration of the film.
- The object: Cereal
- The duration of the film must fall be between 3.5 seconds and 8 minutes in order to qualify.
- The final product must be physically delivered on a data CD or DVD, or transmitted over the internet to Epoch Arts as a DV avi file before the deadline for submissions.
- The deadline for submissions is April 5th 2008 at 8:00pm EST.
- Multiple entries are allowed.
- Films can be of any genre, created with any technique, in any style, and collaborated on by any number of persons from any country on any planet in the universe. Be creative.
- All qualifying films approved by Epoch Arts will be shown in the festival.
The Prize:
- A $100 cash prize will be given to the Person/Team who receives the most votes from the audience
- It will be the responsibility of the winning team to divide the prize accordingly.
